The Toppenish Pow Wow & Rodeo Indian Village is host to approximately 30 Indian tee pees. Indians set up camp in the Village for our four-day celebration. This has been a tradition since the early 1900's. The opening of the Village features a ceremonial dinner of traditional welcome and foods such as salmon, elk, deer, roots and berries. Competitive Indian dances are held daily, under the Village arbor. Special drumming and dancing contests are performed during the weekend. Many childrens dances and games are performed. A real touch of "The West" for all to enjoy.
